Each year for the past 20 years, the kindergarten Bay Haven Bobcats celebrate a very special event—the wedding of Q and U. “This is a silly, fanciful, wonderful way to teach students the spelling pattern of "qu" in a way that is truly memorable,” said Kindergarten Teacher Carrie Bascetta. “The wedding reinforces the idea that every time we write a word with a "q" in kindergarten, we always follow q with a ‘u.’”

The North Bay Haven Odyssey of the Mind Teams competed at the state championships in Orlando, FL. The high school team got 5th place, and the two middle school teams - won 2nd and 3rd. All three teams are going to the World Finals for the first time ever. This is the highest rank North Bay Haven teams have reached since first joining the competition eight years ago. Special thanks goes out to the instructors: Mrs. Giambra and Mr. Naegele.
